Shipping Information
Most merchandise is shipped directly from our warehouse in
Colorado, USA. Most orders are processed and shipped the day
we receive them. Orders which are placed on Saturday or Sundays,
or some holidays, may be delayed in shipping until the next
commercial delivery service business day. Occasionally, because
of the high demand of some products, or out of supply issues
at the manufacturer level, we may not be able to process your
entire order. In this event, we normally offer you the choice
of holding the entire order until it can be processed in its
entirety, or receiving the order partially fulfilled, and
then receiving the backordered merchandise as soon as it becomes
available. You will normally be notified on the phone, or
via e-mail, in this circumstance. In either event, we will
not charge your credit card for a product until it is shipped
to you. On orders over $100.00 in value, we normally require
an adult signature be provided to the delivery company upon
receipt of the package.
Shipping charges are based on dimensions, weight, and final
destination location. We do our best to provide accurate on-line
or telephonic estimates of shipping charges. We use most major
shipping companies, typically shopping for the best rate to
your destination, based upon the type of delivery services
you are requesting (for example, second day air). The shipping
cost for international orders is an estimate only and can
vary up or down daily.
Exchanges, Refunds or Returns
Return Policy
We gladly accept returns, no questions asked, if for any
reason you are unhappy or unsatisfied with one of our products.
All we ask is the following:
- The item must be in "re-sellable" condition
- The item must be in its original packaging
- You need to have your receipt
- All returns must be made within thirty (30) days of the
date of purchase, except during the Christmas holidays,
when we extend our return window to January 31st of the
following year. All other conditions for the return still
apply.
We will return the price paid for the merchandise, excluding
shipping charges. In the event merchandise is being returned
because it is defective, we will provide shipping on the replacement
product at no charge to you.
Most manufacturers offer warranties of various sorts on their
products. If you wish to avail yourself of those warranties,
we may direct you to contact the manufacturer directly. When
possible and practical, we may be able to deal with the manufacturer
for you. In any event, The Pilot Shop provides a 30 day period
during which you may return a defective product, and we will
provide you with a new one at no charge. Such returns must
be postmarked no later than 30 days from the date you received
the merchandise.
Aeronautical Charts
Please note that we try to keep current chart expiration
dates on our web site. In the event you order a chart that
is close to expiration, we will make all reasonable efforts
to verify that you want us to ship the chart without waiting
for the next edition to be published. If we are unable to
reach you to verify your desire for us to ship the chart that
is about to expire, we will ship the chart. Returns of charts
under these circumstances will not be accepted.
International Orders
We provide a shippers export declaration, including estimated
value, on all international orders. As the customer, you are
responsible for all applicable duties and/or taxes, or similar
charges, that apply to your international order. Important
note: the shopping cart system on our site does not accurately
compute international shipping rates. We will e-mail you with
the options for shipping your order.
Sales Taxes on Certain Sales
Per Colorado law, we collect 3.8% state and local tax on
all merchandise shipped to addresses within the State of Colorado.
